Yes! The core platform is completely free. You can create listings, browse the marketplace, use the discovery map, message growers, trade produce, and donate — all at no cost. Optional paid plans start at $4.99/mo (Grower Plus) and unlock more sale-listing capacity, full dashboards, and lower platform fees on paid sales.

Anyone! Whether you grow one pot of herbs on a balcony or manage a large backyard garden, you're welcome. Consumers who just want to buy or receive produce can join too. Local shelters, food banks, community gardens, and small farms also have dedicated account types built for their needs.

Use only a neighborhood, city, or general area on your public profile and listings—never enter a home address there. Optional coordinates support distance sorting and are not printed publicly. Arrange an exact meetup location privately only after both members agree, or choose a public meeting place.

The current marketplace allows whole, uncut fruits and vegetables, fresh culinary herbs, seeds, seedlings, whole plants, and clearly labeled non-food garden supplies. Eggs, meat, dairy, cooked food, cut produce, juices, canned goods, sauces, ferments, alcohol, cannabis, wild-foraged mushrooms, and medicinal claims are not currently allowed. Review the Food Safety and Prohibited Items policies before listing.

In-app payments have not launched yet. Members currently coordinate any sale and payment directly with each other, and My Grow Community does not hold funds or manage payouts. Trades, donations, and free pickups do not have platform fees. Any future in-app payment launch will be explained before members use it.

You always choose your own price. When enough comparable local listings exist, Smart Pricing can summarize their listed prices as a reference. Sparse areas may not have enough data, and a suggested range is not an appraisal or guarantee that an item will sell.

Meet in a public place when possible, tell someone where you are going, inspect items before accepting them, and use the platform's report and block tools when something feels unsafe. Never assume a badge or rating guarantees a person, item, or transaction. Use a partner pickup location only when one is genuinely listed and available in your area.

New accounts must verify their email. Some organizations and accounts may display additional badges after administrative review. A badge is a trust signal, not a guarantee of identity, growing practices, food safety, or transaction outcome. Members should review profiles, keep communication on-platform, and report suspicious listings or behavior.

Browse the Donation Network for administratively reviewed organizations and any needs they have published. Confirm that an organization currently accepts your produce, follow its handling instructions, and arrange pickup or drop-off directly. My Grow Community does not determine tax deductibility or guarantee a donation receipt.

Absolutely. Shelters, food banks, community kitchens, schools, and mutual aid groups can apply for a verified Organization account. The Organization Plus plan is $9.99/mo (or $99/yr — over 17% off vs. monthly) and includes a verified-org badge, donation-request posts, an impact dashboard, volunteer pickup requests, featured placement in the donation directory, per-transaction donation-receipt uploads, and the lowest 2.5% platform fee on any paid sales (donations stay free, always).
